Pharmed Foundation, the CSR arm of Pharmed Limited, in collaboration with Bangalore’s HDR Foundation, has successfully facilitated the HPV vaccination for over 4300 school-going girls across Karnataka. This initiative is part of a larger mission to prevent cervical cancer and support ongoing efforts led by dedicated gynaecologists across the state who are working tirelessly to protect the next generation through timely vaccination and awareness.

Since its establishment in 1946, Pharmed Limited has stood for caring for India’s health — and over the years, has come to believe that true healthcare goes beyond the pill. That belief comes to life through the Pharmed Foundation. More than just an extension of the business, the CSR arm of the company represents the heart of Pharmed’s commitment to community health. Be it healthcare access, awareness drives, empowerment, and other important social issues, the foundation has been working with this purpose at centre.

The ongoing vaccination campaign conducted by the HDR foundation has reached girls in several key districts of Karnataka including Bidar, Kalburgi, Udupi, Hassan, Mysore, and surrounding regions. In addition to immunisation, the program has placed a strong focus on screening women, training healthcare providers and caregivers in HPV awareness, counselling, and vaccine administration—creating a model for community engagement and preventive care.

HDR Foundation, founded by Dr. G.V. Divakar and Dr. Hema Divakar, continues to champion grassroots healthcare programs with a focus on women’s wellness. This initiative is further strengthened by the active participation of AHPI, KSOGA, ECHO, and other public health associations who are facilitating vaccine access across Karnataka. The program aligns with the WHO’s 90-70-90 goals for the global elimination of cervical cancer and was recently highlighted at the Cervical Cancer Elimination Event in Bengaluru as a standout example of public-private partnership driving real-world impact.

Pharmed Foundation remains committed to supporting women’s health, enabling preventive care, and expanding access to essential services—contributing to a healthier and more empowered future for girls and women across India.
