Implementing Agency: Prerana Trust, Mandya, KA
Located in Mandya (KA), Prerana Trust for the Disabled runs a free residential hostel for blind and physically challenged students. Currently, it supports over 24 visually impaired students, 21 speech and hearing-impaired students, and 13 students with various physical disabilities. The Trust works to integrate specially abled children—including those with intellectual disabilities, visual impairment, locomotor disabilities and diabetic conditions—into the mainstream by providing shelter, food, education, and holistic care. Many beneficiaries come from orphaned, single-parent, or economically vulnerable backgrounds.
Pharmed Foundation's CSR support strengthens Prerana Trust's daily operations and advance its vision to introduce vocational training courses and skill-based programs at the residential school.
